The Saturday of Palm Sunday weekend was grand and glorious spring weather and the hometown specials were First Saturday Blueberry pancakes in the WCA Communty building, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt on Andrews Square behind the building. Both events were sponsored by the Wellborn Community Association. "Easter Bunnies" hid hundreds of eggs. Wendell Snowden assured an adult who feared her kids would be too late and miss the fun when he explained how many plastic eggs were around the grassy field, enough to keep hunters busy til noon if need be.
