Census Taker John Sweely visited today.
He looked neat and clean and was personable. My two dogs welcomed him with enthusiasm and he didnt seem afraid. He introduced himself and gave me a written brochure (Spanish and English) that explains that this counting of residents is for statistical purposes only.
Mr Sweely carries a hand held GPS which assigns a number to my house and to Jacks office.
The confusion about our mailing address @ Wellborn Post Office being different from our physical address requires the census taker and others to go figure. We live in Suwannee County & pay taxes in Suwannee County . Leonard Stansel was postmaster in 1980 when we transplanted ourselves from Pinellas County to live in this "House That jack Built" for our "Happily Ever After' chapters of life. Mr Stansel said a Wellborn P.O. Box was a necessity ! with its zip 32094.
BUT some who live along 29th Rd in Suwannee County choose to get their mail from Lake City in Coumbia County with a 32024 Zip .
In spite of it all we are now a dot location via satellite signals bounced from my front porch to the sky and back.
