WELLBORN COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION GIFT TO THE HOMETOWN FOLKS WAS A DELICIOUS, DELIGHTFUL THANKSGIVING DINNER SERVED ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 22.
Ms. Blogger's camera recorded most of the workers by taking 2 snapshots, one from each end of the serving table.
Names are: Charles Osgood, Abby Wotton, Mom Wotton, Bobbi Fenderson, Ruth Ford, Linda Gaylard, Jackie Slaughter, Kathie Snowden, Chris Williams. Jack Allred, Wayne Brooks (with a new beard) and Beanie Brooks (with a broken arm, horse did it, but it wasnt the horses fault, of course).
W.C.A. now looks forward to the Hometown Christmas Party where last year they had 200 happy kids welcoming Santa to Wellborn.
For several years a rumor has been afloat that a Santa sack full of stuffed animals and some extra stockings is stored somewhere. (The joys of group ownership)
Kathie Snowden admitted that the storage shed on Andrews Square got a thorough cleanout looking for them. Silver lining is once it was completely empty the next chapter for the storage shed was regeneration into a very attractive Country Store. BUT no stored away toys or stockings were found, so where did they go ???.
Yesterday, after the art class left, Charles Osgood had reason to go into the space between the ceiling and the roof of the WCA Community Building. GUESS WHAT? The lost toys have been found and just in time for the WCA CHILDRENS CHRISTMAS PARTY. Enjoy The Attic Story and plan to enjoy all us kids at the Christmas Party too.
