Mary Berry called yesterday which was the day after her own 80th birthday celebration. She and Louis counted their blessing together at the Od Time Country Buffet in Lake City, their very most faovrite place to eat out.
First Thursday in November (6th), your blogger was one of about 20 folks who profited by listening to a Master Gardener speaker, Peter Hart, at the Wellborn Whistle Stop. The topic was "Tree Planting: A Quick Guide For Homeowners". The handout outline of his wisdom displayed the letterhead of University of Florida Extension with phone numbers for both Columbia and Suwannee County available to answer our questions. The questions asked at that time showed that newcomers were well represented. The second speaker was named Judy. Her experience shared was about plants in NorthFlorida climate and especially how to protect them from freeze.
