wellborn my hometown

Wayne L. Owens life spanned March 10, 1940 to August 3, 2008 and Wellborn's old families comforted each other one more time.   His momma and daddy were Elmer Lawton Owens and Florrie Rivers Owens. His brother Hollis predeceased him.   He went to Wellborn school and graduated from Columbia High in 1958 and worked at the DOT to earn a living. He enjoyed hunting and rural living here.   Wayne's wife, Binnie Ann ,"BJ" died in 2002. Three sons, and a step daughter, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and his sister Mary Ann (Green) are surviving family. Pastor Rodney Baker of Hopeful Baptist Church spoke the words of comfort to the sorrowing family and friends on Wednesday August 6th.  Our Lord comforts the bereaved.
