The Suwannee Bicycle Festival advertised a three day event of "Riding on Beautiful Country Roads". People came from Wisconsin, Connecticut and other faraway places. We lucked out to capture on camera those who chose the Wellborn route and were taking a late morning break at the Wellborn WHISTLESTOP CAFE Friday.
It would be 60 miles peddling on Friday. Arent we glad they came when our unmowed roadsides are golden with coriopsis & accented with splashes of purple phlox. Wellborn's spring display is peaking right now.
On Saturday these outdoor enthusiast guests anticipate a Peddle & Paddle Day of fun that combines bicycle miles with Kayak miles on the Suwannee River.
Should the title of this blog photo be "Kathy & the Guys visit Wellborn Whistlestop"? I asked. When we learned that Kathy hopes for internet access somewhere for her laptop tonight to see herself having fun, someone suggested "Techno Granny & Friends Out To Play". Here are Paul, Hugh, Alex, Joe, and Kathy , a LIFE IS GOOD group spreading fun for us to appreciate.
